This past Wednesday (4/5/17) my friend invited me to join her at the YouTube Space in L.A. for the YouTube Red Originals Family Premiere where we would screen completely new and original content from YouTube! It seems the next obvious step for this company to make original content for our tech savvy youth. We were able to see the four newest shows coming out which are DanTDM Creates a Big Scene, Kings of Atlantis, Hyperlinked and Fruit Ninja: Frenzy Force. I’m currently a YouTube Red subscriber and highly recommend it if you don’t have it. It’s inexpensive and not only do you get what’s already on YouTube you’ll get the original content coming out and music!
What was really exciting is that after we screened the shows DanTDM was there and did a fun Q&A with the kids. I, myself knew and recognized Dan from just his voice because my daughter LOVES watching him on Youtube. After the Q &A he went outside for a meet and greet where he signed autographs and took photos with the kids.
Outside the space on the lawn they had yummy food and fun outdoor games like giant Jenga and bean bag toss.
Now to the exciting part, the shows!!
One of the most interesting parts of the screening was watching the kid’s reaction from the audience. Being a mother of a child with autism I just get a kick out of kid’s reactions especially at appropriate times. At the funny parts of the show the laughter would fill the entire space, it was contagious.
DanTDM Creates a Big Scene and Kings of Atlantis launched Friday, April 7th and Hyperlinked and Fruit Nina: Frenzy Force will launch later this year.
All series’ will be available on YouTube and the YouTube Kids app for YouTube Red subscribers.
DanTDM Creates a Big Scene Creates A Big Scene follows DanTDM and his group of animated friends as they battle to keep their new live show on the road. Each episode catches their behind-the-scenes exploits as they learn skills, overcome challenges and face impossible odds. Along the way, they find that putting on an epic show isn’t as easy as it looks
The Kings of Atlantis is a thrilling, fun, and epic animated series that follows the two deposed, young monarchs of the vast underwater city of Atlantis, Cody and Joe, as they seek to overthrow the brutal usurper of their kingdom, reclaim their birthright, and protect their people from his cruel reign. Each 11-minute episode will find Cody and Joe, alongside a persistent cast of misfit Atlanteans, heading on fantasy-themed underwater adventures both inside and outside the city of Atlantis, as they are pursued by the evil forces of King Phaeton. Along the way, they’ll encounter the value of friendship with all kinds of people, feel the corruption of monarchy, discover the truth of their origins, and eventually learn that just because they were once kings, doesn’t mean they can’t be something more
Fruit Ninja: Frenzy Force: Four Fruit Ninjas set up a juice stand as a front for the messiest secret service in the world. The new Fruit Ninja characters—Seb, Niya, Peng, and Ralph come together to fight the evil forces if Durien Grey and the Deep Fried Samurai. They will use their Juice Jitsu skills (and perhaps some help from their own Sensei) to prevail.
Hyperlinked: This series is inspired by a true story and stars music sensation L2M. It follows five girls as they come together to create their own website by girls for girls. They also must navigate everyday tween issues involving friends and relationships.
